All our products are Lead and Cadmium free, safe for microwave, oven, and dishwasher. *Take note that products that are decorated with platinum or painted gold are not recommended for microwave use.

In this guide, we will show you how to determine if your bowls and plates are microwave safe. Sometimes, you will get some indication on the bottom of the tableware such as your plates or bowls.

What happens if we put a tableware that is microwave or oven safe into the appliances?

For those are not microwave / oven safe, some tableware will break, melt or the paintings will melt causing toxic chemicals to be exposed to your dishes. So, make sure that you only use microwave, oven safe tableware for your dishes. On the other hand, if you wish to utilize eco-friendly tableware, you must first determine whether your tableware is microwave, oven, or dishwasher safe.

Step 1. Setup your microwave oven to the highest power setting

The method varies depending on the type and brand of your microwave. Usually, the default setting is the highest power.

Step 2. Add Water into the tableware

Fill a glass of water and place the cup of water and the tableware in question into the microwave.

Step 3. Set the time to 1 minute

Microwave the tableware and the cup for one minute.

If the tableware is hot after the heating, the tableware is not microwave safe. If the tableware remains cool and the cup of water is hot, the tableware is microwave safe.

*Important note, the surrounding area around the cup may be warm but the rest of the tableware should be cool.
